COMMUNITY SERVICE

Our students experience membership in the community-at-large as part of their Montessori Education.

Community Service
As an important part of their Montessori Education, students experience being members of the community at large through their community service.

We use Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to do projects to serve others. Some of the projects are:
  • Place mats for the Community Outreach Center soup kitchen,
  • Collect and sort toiletries for places like The Haven, mens and womens shelters, HELP, Inc. etc.,
  • Read-a-thon pledges that support Heifer Internationals sustainability program,
  • Making fleece blankets that go to the animal shelters and homeless shelters.

Throughout the school year, the students do other projects.
  • Coat drive: Collecting coats for children and adults in need
  • Food drive: Supporting the Idaho Falls Community Food Bank
  • Holiday Families: Providing holiday gifts for families in need
  • School supplies for victims of hurricanes and other natural disasters
  • Creating and sending Valentines to our military troops
